Please Touch the Art! - Exploring Foreign Worlds
Art Premiere & Cocktail Party
We are celebrating opening night of Exploring Foreign Worlds with an Austin casual cocktail party November 11th from 7:00PM to midnight and is being hosted at the Exposure Fine Art Gallery & Studio. The exhibit will continue during E.A.S.T (East Austin Studio Tour) November 12, 13, 19 & 20 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The Exploring Foreign Worlds exhibit engages you from the moment you walk through the door. Physically and intellectually with imagery and apps, you are immersed in art. Part of the exhibit shows you other viewer's impressions and perspectives. You also have an opportunity to customize a print to your own taste and take it home gratis.
The characters in Exploring Foreign Worlds explore relationships with each other and the borderless worlds they inhabit where identity is independent of appearance. Conceived, directed and captured by internationally acclaimed Austin artist Tom Suhler, these new works emerged from a collaborative process including three talented Austin dancers.
"I create interactive experiences because I enjoy seeing people engaged," says Suhler. "So when you come to the exhibit expect to see signs saying Please Touch the Art."
Suhler will be on hand discussing these works and signing copies of his book, UnVeiled. The gallery will also be showing some of his previous works.
